Agenda Items:
Welcome back members and introduce any new boaters.
The State of NAMBA (high level snapshot) - (DD)
NAMBA has had much success with the new rules committee that is cleaning up
old rules and going through the rule book page by page. In doing this there was
many things in there that needed to be deleted or re written to current
standards. If not a racing rule we DD’s vote on these each month at our Monthly
DD call.
NAMBA District Directors monthly call. I can say this has really opened the eyes
of every director and the communication flow is way better than ever before. I
proposed this back in 2022 to Richard and he appointed Eric & Kelly Canto from
District 3 to conduct the meetings and I take my hat off to both. The meetings
are organized and flows extremely well and get a lot completed in the hour-long
meeting. All District directors, as the NNAMBA VP Karl Loveless attends each
month.

Proposal By Robert Holland 10-Minutes to Present
#1 2025
District Finances: Proposed by Robert Holland
Proposal- Eliminate District Rule 4.2
District Rule – Finances $.2 does not serve any purpose other than add another
layer to a difficult job of the District Director. Our district does not have enough
funds to need an oversight committee. The DD should be free to buy the supplies
and awards for our district without asking permission.
4.2 District Expenditures that exceed $250 for any single expense or $500 for any
single event in the aggregate, must be approved by a vote of all current paid
District club Presidents. Voting shall take place online and have a seven-day
window for club Presidents to approve all such expenditures.
#2 2025
Entry Fees: Proposed Rule:
Reasoning: We have been following this rule on a loose basis over the last few
years. Just want to make it official.
Proposed Rule: All District 20 or Namba member age 16 or under shall not be
charged Sanctioned D-20 race entry fees.
#3 2025
Entry Fees- 8. Fees
Reasoning- Cost over all products have increased. Raising entry fees this small
amount will help clubs break even on cost and help the district with year-end
awards.
New Rule: 8. Fees
8.1 The $25.00 per driver fee is collected by the District Treasure or local club
Treasure. The district shall retain said funds.
8.2 The $10.00 per boat fee is collected by the District Treasure or local club
Treasure. The hosting club shall retain said funds.
8.3 If hosting club collects fees, he or she may reconcile at race site with District
Treasure or must submit funds due to the district within 10 calendar days of end
of said event.
8.4 The driver’s entry fee is $25.00, and each boat fee is $10.00. If a contestant
should enter only one boat his total fee is: $35.00, two boats = $45.00, Three
boats = $55.00 and so on.
8.5. Any person entering a race must pay all fees associated with entry unless
they cancel registration by the Wednesday before the race, prior to 6:00 pm. If
entrant fails to show up for a race, they have entered they must still pay the entry
fee prior to being allowed to race in any future district events.
8.6 All moneys collected from raffles should be retained by hosting club unless
agreed to other distribution in writing prior to event.
Old Rule:
8. Fees
8.1 The $20.00 per driver fee is collected by the District Treasure or local club
Treasure. The district shall retain said funds.
8.2 The $7.00 per boat fee is collected by the District Treasure or local club
Treasure. The hosting club shall retain said funds.
8.3 If hosting club collects fees, he or she may reconcile at race site with District
Treasure or must submit funds due to the district within 10 calendar days of end
of said event.
8.4 The driver’s entry fee is $20.00, and each boat fee is $7.00. If a contestant
should enter only one boat his total fee is: $27.00, two boats = $34.00, Three
boats = $41.00 and so on.
